Mike is currently a paralympiad. He was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 13. As a result of poor management of this disease, since his diagnosis, he has gradually lost parts of all of his extremeties.
Mike is a full-time employee and coaches the Women's Paralympic Vollyball Team in Colorado Springs.
